In the latest group of figures released by research group NDP, it is reported that compared to February 2008, Apple Mac sales have dropped by a whopping 17%. This is even worse than January, where Mac sales fell by 5% compared to a year before.
The reason for the price drop seems to be directly linked to the expensive nature of Macs, and people simply can’t afford them in a time where cash is tight.
Another major reason for concern is the glaring statistic that PC actually grew by 22% compared to a year before.
Stephen Baker, an analyst at the NDP Group had the following to say:
“Some have noted that they had some tough year-to-year comparisons, but this is a little more concerning than just comparisons.”
