Capcom have announced that their latest game, Resident Evil 5, has shipped 4 million copies worldwide, making it one of Capcom’s biggest releases ever.

The game is also interestingly enough the first game in the Resident Evil series to launch on more than one platform (namely the PS3 and Xbox 360), which might prompt the high number of units shipped. Although, with over the demo having been downloaded more than 4 million times, there’s some serious hype going for Resident Evil 5.
